3: Creating an Iron Age Coin

I have based my design on a coin made by the Durotriges tribe. It was found recently in Dorset. It has a duro boat design on one side.It is nearly 2 cm wide and was made of gold. It was made about 80 to 50 BC .

This coin was made by the Durotriges tribe lived in dorset somerset and a bit of willtshire. They were one off the
only tribes to make and use coins before the romans came ad 43 .

the coins were often called status after a Greek coin with the same
name. there was no writing on the coins as the celts didn't have a
written language . They used pictures instead some times a face
a horse or a boat . After the romans conquered britan roman
coins were used.

this is me  making my coin.
